Clinical bioinformatics is responsible for developing and improving methods for acquiring, storing, organising and analysing biological data that supports the delivery of patient care.
What is clinical bioinformatics?
Clinical bioinformatics uses areas of computer science including software tools that generate useful biological knowledge by manipulating ‘big data’.
By using bioinformatics researchers can search online biological databases, use it in medical practice, select appropriate software to analyse the microarray data for medical decision-making, optimise the development of disease-specific biomarkers, and supervise drug target identification and clinical validation.
Clinical bioinformatics application
Clinical bioinformatics can be used in many clinical applications, including omics technology, metabolic and signalling pathways, biomarker discovery and development, computational biology, genomics, proteomics, metaboliomics, pharmacomics, transcriptomics, high-throughput image analysis, human molecular genetics, human tissue bank, mathematical medicine and biology, protein expression and profiling and systems biology.
What can we offer?
KonAnBio provides clinical bioinformatics expertise and support for the organisation, analysis and interpretation of patient-related data, transforming them into clinical information for healthcare professionals in order to improve patients’ care.
At KonAnBio we work with hospitals and clinics to make the most out of an exponential flow of data, in order to enhance diagnosis and to improve patient care and well-being. Our company can:
- Help healthcare practitioners make use of data to develop good practices for diagnostic omics analyses;
- Develop collaborative platforms to support clinical research, surveillance and diagnostic;
- Provide clinical bioinformatics training;
Through partnerships with us, we can help you develop sample-to-report diagnostic tools that enable you to streamline and automate bioinformatics analysis of patient data, while ensuring their privacy.
